Endometriosis Treatment in Philadelphia

Endometriosis is the most common disease associated with pelvic pain. Because it is such a variable disease and because so many women who have it remain undiagnosed, its true incidence is unknown.

Based on my experience and the medical literature, I believe that somewhere between 25 and 40% of all women have it or have had it at sometime in their life.

A study from Boston Children’s Hospital showed that 70% of teenage girls with chronic pelvic pain have endometriosis — yet I still see teenage girls in my office who have been told their pain (often incapacitating pain) is all in their head!

The average length of time it takes for a woman with pelvic pain to be diagnosed with endometriosis (from the time she begins to seek medical attention for her pain) is 7 years.

Endometriosis is a serious medical disease that causes a great deal of misery and many women suffer needlessly because of their inability to get the care they deserve.

My practice deals extensively with pelvic pain, not just endometriosis, but all the causes of pain.  Please contact me if you have any questions or to schedule an appointment.
